Best villa in Stoupa?

I can't imagine anywhere nicer to stay around Stoupa.
Lovely pool, views, (sea, olive groves, mountains, sunsets), grounds and a very comfortable, well equipped and stylish house.
It has the feel of a much loved family home.
The owners are friendly and helpful.
Stoupa is a charming laid back beach town and the villa is within walking distance of all is has to offer.
And on those evenings when you don't fancy walking back after dinner on the waterfront, there's a good taverna nearby and even one that delivers to your door. Thanks for a very happy week.

A meal on the veranda

Dear Sonia,

In short - we loved your house. Three of us came from the US, and met with my mother from England before driving down to Stoupa. It was a great adventure driving to Stoupa, and the last part of the drive makes one feel as though one is entering a mythic kingdom by the sea. We agree with several other tenants - your house is more delightful still than we envisaged from the website. The setting in the olive grove, with its striking view from the upstairs across the grand vista of the Ionian Sea.

I loved running down to the Sea each morning, and several times jogged out along the ocean pathway, halfway to Agios Nikolaos. This is a wonderful jogging path by the ocean! We alternated between cooking at home and eating out. Had time to go on some short hikes, and also drove over to Mystras to see the ancient Byzantine capital there.
We all left with many wonderful memories.

Piers and Bryn enjoying the Good Life

I really enjoyed my stay in the Villa of the Wave (or at least that's what I believe the name of the house meant in Greek).
The house was beautifully wrought of stone and it had a nice balcony up top which i enjoyed writing postcards upon, listening to music and watching the sunset. More importantly, it was in close proximity to the liveliness that was the Mani sea-port of Stoupa, so we could not only drive into town, but also either walk or run, which gave it a nice atmosphere.
I also had a great pleasure reading the variety of books in the home's library, particularly the one which spoke of Greek archaeological remains held in museums (that is mainly because as an ANCIENT HISTORY AND CLASSICS major at Rutgers University in America, I am very fascinated with the classical world of Homer and Herotodus).
Finally, I enjoyed the house's garden, not only to observe the brilliant plants blooming there, but also to sit out and suntan.
I can definitely say that I can recommend staying in this villa. It had a great proximity to town and the sea, a great look and a great atmosphere

Reading a book in the hammock

We enjoyed our stay at Villa To Kyma very much.
It's a beautiful and well-equipped house nicely situated in an olive grove; I loved reading in the hammock between two olive trees! The upstairs porch has a wonderful view of the sea and the sunsets were quite amazing!
We also had fun cooking all together and had some nice family meals at the outside table.
The town of Stoupa is within walking distance, and we also had a nice walk there along the coast to a nearby village.
All in all a wonderful break...many thanks and we hope to return to Stoupa sometime soon!

Browsing the paper on the terrace

I am happy to recommend Villa to Kyma.
My stay at Villa to Kyma was all I envisaged and more!
It was spacious and elegant in a beautiful, peaceful setting among olive groves, with incredible views, just a walk away from the picturesque fishing port of Stoupa.
An unforgettable experience!

Great picture Piers!

Sonia,
We had the most fantastic holiday. Thank you. We absolutely loved To Kyma. The house is beautiful (loved the mosaics, especially the lizard in the bedroom we slept in) and my mother even has gate envy. The layout of the house inside worked brilliantly and the terraces outside with the shade and places to play bat and ball were fantastic. I'm not sure who loved the pool most but it was divine, and bigger than I'd expected. I can't believe how well equipped the house was too. What a bonus to have the dishwasher, washing machine and even a blender (so sad that when you travel with children how your priorities change!). We also loved being back in Stoupa. Though there are some more houses, it is as charming as it ever was.
Misread the instructions to get to the bakery on the first day and scrambled up the wall and through the wilderness at the back of the house. We quite enjoyed our scrambly wramby adventure (Archie's words).
Thanks again for one of the most relaxing holidays.

Agios Nikolaos, 2 km from Villa To Kyma

Hi Sonia, thanks

Yes arrived safely back into the UK after a great holiday.
We found the Villa with no difficulty. We drove down from Athens on the Sunday morning.
We found your villa delightful, had no problems and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
In fact we enjoyed it so much, we spent more time there than getting out and about, which is quite unusual for us as we love to explore.
We would certainly like to come again in the future. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Beste Sonia,
Britt, Maikel, Marscha, Harald, Mike and Robin enjoying a meal at Akrogiali restaurant on Stoupa boulevard Wat hebben jullie een PRACHTIGE villa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A fantastic two weeks

We had a wonderful holiday in the villa which is a perfect base for exploring the local area - and beyond. A car was a necessity for us to explore.
The villa itself is as described - it is perfect! The pool added another dimension to the living area. The villa is well maintained and there is plenty of crockery, etc. It is set in olive groves and is an easy walk to the restaurant and bar area of Stoupa.
Typical beachside shopping with two decent supermarkets nearby. The local restaurants (40, the local map said) were great and it is worth going off the main seafront to find a different experience and a different perspective of the sea. Jill and Ray do not eat meat and they found Stoupa a marvellously vegetarian place. We have had trouble in the past finding restaurant food that they can eat.
The beaches were very good and the welcome from the locals was warm and friendly.

A great Family Holiday Home

I have just returned from a week at Villa To Kyma and wished I'd gone for a month. My wife and I went with three of our children, two of them with partners and our seven month old grandson,so we had and age gap of over 50 years but we all loved the villa the pool and the over all location. The villa was not lacking in anything that we needed, a great place to relax in or out of the pool with or without music and not desterbing anybody else. The location was just the right distance to be private and to be able walk to the sea front and restaurants, which we found to be all good. I will be recommending it to family, friends and work mates. We don't usually go back to any where for a holiday a second time, this has been "a rule" for the last 20 years but rules are made to be broken and a return to Villa To Kyma may be on the cards next year.

Second visit

Sheila taking in the views around Vathi Dear Sonia, Marc and family,
We were really looking forward to our second visit to Villa To Kyma, but what a surprise we had when we arrived!
Of course, we knew you had added the pool and made improvements to the house but it really surpassed our expectations! The whole look of the house with the tiled roofed verandah and additional room built on one side, as well as the swimming pool. It has all been beautifully done and entirely in style with local architecture and surroundings. We were really impressed. It all went to making our holiday even more enjoyable. It was a real homecoming for us to be back in Villa To Kyma and Stoupa.
We were pleased to make use of your well-documented information on the area again. This time going farther afield to the Inner Mani and Vathi. But we did not forget the local scene and our favourite restaurant, Panorama, with the best view of the beach!
But what we most enjoy about Villa To Kyma is your own personal touch, which is evident in and around the house.
Once again we felt very welcome at your home and hope to return in the not too far distant future.
Best regards to you all,
Sheila Edwards, The Netherlands

The harbour in Agios Nikolaos Sonia
Villa To Kyma was fantastic. Just what we wanted. The perfect villa for a family holiday - near enough to walk to the village and to the beach but far enough away to have days of peace and quiet when required. The villa has everything one could need. When the pool is built, it will be perfect! I am happy for you to quote my remarks on your website. We were delighted with everything.

View from Panorama restaurant of Kaloghria beach in Stoupa Dear Sonia, Marc and family,
Just to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday in Stoupa.
We immediately felt at home at Villa To Kyma.
You can really tell that the house is loved, because it has been furnished with such care and the personal touch is obvious. From the beautiful gate in the shape of a wave, the stone icon of the Madonna in the hall, the mosaic lizard on the wall, the carefully selected CD collection and the colourful bits and bobs around the house.
Also the extensive information provided on the area, including maps and instructions, all went a long way to making our stay very enjoyable. We also felt most reassured that we hadn’t missed anything!
The house is very centrally situated so that in no time we were on the beach in Stoupa, or popping along to that delightful fishing village, Agios Nikolaos, or driving up the mountain to Neochori.
We particularly loved the view of the bay from the Panorama restaurant in Stoupa, but all the restaurants you suggested offered good food at reasonable prices and very friendly Greek service.
We would like to thank you for your hospitality, your home fits perfectly in the Greek culture, we felt very welcome at Villa To Kyma. We certainly plan to pay you another visit in the near future.

Warmest regards, Sheila Edwards, The Netherlands

Dear Sonia,

We had a lovely time at Villa To Kyma, thank you.
The villa is absolutely beautiful, even better than the website pictures, and the pool will make it perfect. It is well-equipped (very comfy beds!) and the scrapbooks of information were very useful.
We enjoyed our visit to the caves at Diros, well worth the drive, and spent a lot of time on the beach at Agios Dimitrios which was quieter than Stoupa.
Please keep me informed about progress on the pool etc. as we would certainly consider staying there again if we go back to Mani, and I hope that we do, maybe in the spring so that we can do some walking in the hills. You are very lucky to have such a lovely holiday home.
with very best wishes,

Agia Sophia church behind Kardamyli Dear Sonia

We had a simply lovely holiday staying at To Kyma. The house is beautifully built and appointed and gave us a wonderful base for our holiday. We felt very comfortable and very much at home. The views, from the balcony across the olive trees to the sea and mountains, are stunning. A swimming pool will really be the icing on the cake!! Your guide book was a great help to us in its practical help and in giving us ideas of places to go. We managed to get a good mix of both beach and visiting places of interest. Amongst other things we had a day at Olympia, went to the caves at Diros and visited numerous mountain villages. I was keen to walk some of the Viros Gorge but, in temperatures hot even by Greek standards for the time of year, all of us were wilting after 10 minutes - I think perhaps it would be better to try in the Spring! Billy was very kind and helpful, he and Laila are a great asset. They were not at all intrusive, but always available if we had a query. We would love to return maybe in a couple of year's time.
With all best wishes and our thanks
